We had a nice day yesterday walking around Harpers Ferry. Although a little warm, the temperatures stayed in the 80s and there was low humidity. The boys enjoyed watching the trains go across the railroad bridge and playing on the rocks next to the Appalachian trail. We ate ate a local restaurant called the Cannonball Deli and then had some ice cream and snowballs before heading back home.

Had a good Father's day weekend. Yesterday, Linker ran the Baltimore Ten Miler. He got lucky in that the temperatures were still rather cool for June, hovering around 70 early. He went with the 1:40 pace group and ended up with a time of 1:40:03. The afternoon was spent watching Indiana Jones movies with the boys and the Indy Car race from Milwaukee.

Had a rather slow weekend. Yesterday, the whole gang went down to Bass Pro Shops on Saturday and looked at the boats, fish, and played the arcade shooting game. They walked all around the mall, including the Lego Store, and had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Today after church, most everyone stayed inside as the temperatures were up in the 90s in the afternoon. Seth did spent some time outside playing in the water hose, with his water gun, and running through the sprinkler.
The boys are looking forward to going to their first day of summer camp (at their old preschool) tomorrow as their last day of school was on Friday.

Linker took Friday off so he and Deb could attend Seth's kindergarten graduation. Seth had a program with the "Kinderman" where they sang along. Seth volunteered to take a solo singing "You're My Friend" and did really well. All the kids then sang songs by themselves. After the program was over, the three of them enjoyed a picnic lunch out near the playground.
On Saturday, Linker took the boys to the Maryland State Game & Fish Protective Association for some cane pole fishing. Ian managed to catch a fish, but Seth had the bad luck of getting poked by his own hook and decided to call it a day early. In the afternoon everyone went over to the local Toys 'R' Us to get some Legos with some of the money that the boys had earned.
Today after church, everybody went out to Jerusalem Mill Village for a civil war reenactment. The boys made corn husk figures, and then everyone went over to the store to watch a simulated raid where a group of Confederate calvary came up on a small band of Federal soldier at the general store. Everyone seemed to enjoy the horses and the boys enjoyed petting the horses after the reenactment was finished.
